Just Sitting Hosting

Instructions on how to host a silent Just Sitting practice period within the Buddhist Geeks Sangha.

Anyone in the Sangha who has completed a 10-week cycle of Responsive Meditation Training is empowered to host Just Sitting sessions in the Buddhist Geeks Sangha.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1) Silence Before Silence

For the first 2 minutes of the session, simply sit silently. This gives time for people to show up and settle.

2) Ring the Bell to Start

After 2 minutes have passed, ring the bell to mark the start of the just sitting session.

3) Just Sit

Just Sitting, in this context, means sitting together silently. Everyone is welcome to practice whatever type of meditation they want during this time.

4) Ring the Bell to End

At the end of the session ring the bell to mark the end of the formal period of just sitting.

5) Say Goodbye

Say goodbye in whatever way you're comfortable with. β€οΈπŸ™πŸ˜˜πŸ‘‹
