Each month, teachers track metrics related to their training and post the public financial metrics to the 📊Training Metrics page. Here are the basic instructions on how to do that... NOTE: If you're a teacher, using this document as an aid, please update it when you see that something has changed, or needs to be added.
Open Google Analytics and pull up the profile for your training site.
Select Audience and then Overview
Set your Date Range to the dates of the month you're tracking
Record the number of Users in your Training Metrics Spreadsheet.
Review your calendar and calculate the time you spent in Group Sessions. Add that total to your Training Metrics Spreadsheet under the Contact Time section.
Also review your calendar for all completed Private Sessions and add up the total time you spent doing private sessions for the month in your Training Metrics Spreadsheet.
Lastly, review your calendar for all completed Introduction Sessions and add up the total time you spent doing introduction sessions for the month in your Training Metrics Spreadsheet .
Copy over the spreadsheet formula from the previous month for both the Total Time rows (total contact time spent w/ intros and without).
Go to Contacts & Activities and select Activities
Set the Dates section to the day before the month you're tracking (ex. May 31st) and the day after the month you're tracking (ex. July 1st) and then Apply
Select the Campaigns tab and then under the Trainings Fund select the training that you're preparing metrics for.
On the right hand side click the Sum Total button to get the total donated during this period.
Add the Sum Total to your Training Metrics Spreadsheet under Total Donations
Go back up to the Search Box above and under Activity Types select New Recurring Transactions and Canceled Recurring Transactions.
Record the # of both new and cancelled transactions in your Training Metrics Spreadsheet.
Under the Conversions section of your Training Metrics Spreadsheet copy and paste all of the formulas from the previous month over to this month, to see your conversion % metrics.
In your Training Metrics Spreadsheet under the Donations section copy & paste over the formulas used last month for both of the Hourly Rate rows (w/ & w/o intros).
In your Training Metrics Spreadsheet, review your Kindful Sheet and update the Average Given amount, the Range, if either have changed on the Gitbook page.
Also in the Training Metrics Spreadsheet look up your Hourly Rate (w/o Intros) under the Totals column & Donations row. Update this amount on the Gitbook page if it has changed.
Add a new row to the bottom of your metrics table and input the new month & year.
Take the Total Given from your Training Metrics Spreadsheet and add that number to the Total Donated column on Gitbook.
Take the Total Time (w/o Intros) from your Training Metrics Spreadsheet and add that number to the Contact Hours column on Gitbook.
Finally, take the Hourly Rate (w/o Intros) for the month you're recording from your Training Metrics Spreadsheet and add that number to the Hourly Rate column on Gitbook.
